Antelopes fall to Missouri-St. Louis to open Rockhurst Classic

Grand Canyon University volleyball team dropped a three-game match to Missouri-St. Louis Friday in the Antelopes’ opening game of the Rockhurst University Classic.

The Antelopes (0-5) lost 30-23, 30-17, 30-25 in a match they hit .029 collectively.

Sophomore hitter Dana Edington had 11 kills, and her sophomore counterpart Whitney Estes pounded seven. Freshman defensive specialist Katie Meyers had 22 digs, and senior setter Audra Slemmer had 27 assists.

Christy Trame led Missouri-St. Louis (3-2) with 16 kills, and Elizabeth Cook had 13 digs. 

GCU moved on to play University of Nebraska-Kearney at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
