Two Grand Canyon University women's golfers were named All-American scholars by the National Golf Coaches Association.
Freshman Brittany Anderson (Marketing) and Jacqueline Sneddon (Marketing) were named to the NCAA Division II academic team. Student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average to be recognized for the award. They also must have competed in at least 50 percent of the school's regularly scheduled rounds of competition.
Both Anderson (Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills HS) and Sneddon (Meigle, Scotland) figure to be two of GCU's top golfers this season.

Grand Canyon senior Jessica McKay finished 26th at the NCAA Division II Championships Friday at Houston's Memorial Park Golf Course.
McKay (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita Monument HS) shot 79-77-75-81 -- 312 in her first NCAA Championship event.
McKay had eight birdies in the four-day tournament.
She was the only Grand Canyon women's golfer competing, and became the first Antelope to qualify for the national championships.

Grand Canyon senior Jessica McKay shot 75 at the third round of the NCAA Division II Championships at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston Thursday.
McKay moved up five spots for the second straight day, and is tied for 23rd at 15-over 231. She had three birdies and six bogeys in the third round.
McKay has cut two strokes off her round on back-to-back days since her opening round 79.
Rollins College's Joanna Coe leads the tournament at 4-under 212. Florida Southern's Heather Burgner is second at 2-over 218. Nova Southeastern's Taylor Collins is third at 3-over 219.

Grand Canyon senior Jessica McKay moved up five spots after the second round of the NCAA Division II Championships at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston Wednesday.
McKay shot 77 in the second round to settle into a tie for 28th place at 12-over 156. She cut two strokes from her first round 79.
Florida Southern's Heather Burgner, Rollins College's Joanna Coe and Nova Southeastern's Taylor Collins share the individual lead at even-par 144.
Nova Southeastern University (587) leads the team standings by seven strokes over Rollins College (594). Ferris State University is third at 604.

Grand Canyon's Jessica McKay shot 7-over 79 Tuesday in the first round of the NCAA Division II National Championships at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston. She is 33rd.
McKay, a senior from Grand Junction, Colo., had four birdies, three bogeys, two double bogeys and a quadruple bogey. She is competing in her first NCAA Championships event.
Florida Southern's Heather Burgner and Nova Southeastern's Fredrika Hakansson occupy the leader's spot at 2-under 70 on the 6,327-yard course.
