SAN FRANCISCO -- Grand Canyon University's women's cross country team finished 24th in the NCAA West Regional at Speedway Meadows Golden Gate Saturday.
Alaska-Anchorage won the team title and Seattle Pacific's Jessica Pixler (20:08.9) led all individuals in the 6K run.
For Grand Canyon, freshman Renee Peck (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) led the way. She was 133rd (25:32.3). Freshman Joy Hulsey (pictured, Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain) was close behind in 138th (26:26.9).
Freshman Shannon Walsh (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) finished 148th (27:35.8).
Junior Arlin Guadian (Phoenix, Ariz./North) and sophomore Evelia Stacey (Safford, Ariz./Safford) placed 153rd (28:11.9) and 154th (28:26.2), respectively. Freshman Emily Cruz (Surprise, Ariz./Dysart) was nearby, placing 156th (28:57.2).
