Grand Canyon University freshman forward Kyle Ciliento (Phoenix, AZ/Pinnacle) and junior forward Kayla Poe (Mesa, AZ/Dobson) have been named Pacific West Conference Men's and Women's Soccer Player of the Week, respectively.
The honors, for games played Oct. 26-Nov. 1, were announced on Monday by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix.
Ciliento scored four goals and added an assist to finish with nine points as the Antelopes posted a 2-1-0 record during the week. He scored twice in a 4-0 home win over Dominican on Nov. 1, tallied an insurance goal and assisted on the game winner in a 3-0 victory at Dixie State on Oct. 30 and scored the lone goal in a 2-1 loss at Hawaii-Hilo on Oct. 26.
Poe led the 'Lopes to a 2-1-0 week by recording four points on two game-winning goals. She scored the game winner in double-overtime to give GCU a 4-3 win at Hawaii Hilo on Oct. 26. She also scored the lone goal in a 1-0 home victory over Dominican on Nov. 1.
Three other GCU players, senior defender Jesse Baker (Lakeside, AZ/Blue Ridge), junior goalkeeper Ben Paneccasio (Sydney, Australia/Roseban K College) and junior midfielder forward Pat Perkins (Bremerton, WA/Bremerton), were named to the PacWest Men's Soccer Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. Baker posted three points in three games. He scored the game-winning goal vs. Dominican on Nov. 1 and assisted on the 'Lopes' third goal of the game. Paneccasio recorded two shutouts and registered a 2-1-0 record. He posted a 0.67 goals-against average in 270 minutes of action, recording eight saves for an .800 save percentage. And Perkins recorded three assists, one in each of the three games.
GCU senior forward Aislinn Finfrock (Glendale, AZ/Independence) was named to the PacWest Women's Soccer Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll. She recorded three points in the 'Lopes' 4-3 double-overtime victory at Hawaii-Hilo on Oct. 26, scoring the game-tying goal to force overtime in the 79th minute and setting up the game-winning goal in the 104th minute.
