SANTA ROSA, Calif. -- Grand Canyon University is tied for fourth after the first round of the Sonoma State Invitational at Santa Rosa Golf Club Monday.
Junior Brittany Anderson (pictured, Goodyear, Ariz./Estrella Foothills) is the top Antelope golfer after a round 78. She is tied for eighth place.
Grand Canyon's Rio Milord (Delray Beach, Fla./Atlantic Community/Seminole CC) and Jacqueline Sneddon (Meigle, Scotland/Madras College/Elmwood College) are tied for 14th. Both had rounds of 80. Jennifer Lutz (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa/Mesa CC) shot 83 and is 26th. Amy Cowan (Davis, Calif./Davis/Sierra CC) is in 37th spot after a round of 89.
CSU-Monterey Bay leads the event with a team total of 311. GCU is 10 strokes back.
Sonoma State's Brittany Carrera leads the event after a 2-over-par round of 74.
The tournament concludes Tuesday.
