FRESNO, Calif. -- Grand Canyon University's women's swim team broke five school records at the Fresno Pacific Relays/Pentathlon Friday and Saturday.
Senior Alexis Glessner (Mesa, Ariz./Red Mountain/N. Colorado) set new marks in the 200 Freestyle (1:57.08) and 500 Freestyle (5:13.25). Freshman Julie Redaway (pictured, Braine L'Alleud, Belgium/Ste Gertrude Nivelles) broke records in the 50 Breaststroke (31.54) and 100 IM (1:05.11).
Riley Smith (Phoenix, Ariz./Christian), Tori Heron (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor), Karlee Grundeis (Bakersfield, Calif./East Bakersfield) and Glessner set the record for the 800 relay (7:58.60).
Glessner earned an eighth place finish in the Women's Freestyle Pentathlon.
