LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Grand Canyon University's women's cross country team finished 12th at the Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego Saturday.
Central Arizona won the event led by individual champion Rose Tanui.
Freshman Renee Peck (Glendale, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor) led the Lopes with a 69th place finish (25:50.7). Frosh Joy Hulsey (Peoria, Ariz./Sunrise Mountain) placed 96th (27:53.1). Sophomore Evelia Stacey (Safford, Ariz./Safford) was 98th (28:08.8).
Junior Arlin Guadian (Phoenix, Ariz./North) placed 109th (30:12.3) and frosh Emily Cruz (pictured, Surprise, Ariz./Dysart) was 110th (30:24.2).
